Shinjuku "state of mind"
Shinjuku is one of the 23 special wards in the city of Tokyo, Japan. It is home to the world's busiest train station (Shinjuku Station), the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings (where you can access the observation deck on the 45th floor for free), and Meiji Jingu. During my last visit, I stopped at the Meiji Jingu Shrine and unexpectedly found myself at the Haru-no-Tasai Ceremony, known as the Spring Grand Festival. Later that afternoon I headed back to the train station where I ran into the Uyoku Dantai (ultra-nationalist political group) and some friendly Tokyo Police in full riot-gear. One thing is for sure, Shinjuku is never boring.
